This community-wide event is organized as a street festival with various family-friendly activities taking place over the course of a day. Today, it is a celebration of African-American achievement. Juneteenth Day is June 19th, and it commemorates emancipation, or the ending of slavery in the United States. There’s no better way to celebrate the longest day of the year! The Summer Soulstice music festival is back on the East Side, and you won’t want to miss this FREE showcase of local favorites – bands, visual artists, Milwaukee makers, creation stations, food vendors, family-friendly crafts and activities and more.
